"Our mission is to make wines that attract and like each market"

Between the valleys of the Júcar and Cabriel rivers, in a privileged enclave, is located Vitivinos Wineries. Founded in 1969, today it has more than 1.500 hectares of vineyards. Throughout its more than forty years of history, the winery has been combining different wine fermentation processes to achieve the highest expectations of its native varieties.

One of its leaders is Jorge García Cuenca, who in these lines reveals the work of Bodegas Vitivinos in more depth.

QUESTION: For anyone who doesn't know you, what is Bodegas Vitivinos and what does it do?

ANSWER: "Bodegas Vitivinos is a winery from Villamalea that, in nearly 50 years of existence, has distinguished itself in the market as a producer of quality wines with native varieties, mainly Bobal, from the La Manchuela Region".

Q.: In which countries is your company present?

R .: “Bodegas Vitivinos is present throughout Europe, the United States, China, Vietnam, Cape Verde and South American countries. Efforts are currently being focused on consolidating our presence in markets such as Taiwan and Japan where our products are highly appreciated".

Q.: Is it important to innovate and seek continuous improvement in your sector? Have you made recent investments in this regard? 

R .: “Of course, the efforts in innovation and continuous improvement help us to offer the product demanded in the different markets. A mature and knowledgeable consumer of wine from Europe or the United States will demand a different wine than a new consumer from China. Similarly, palates and pairings are very different in different countries of the world. Our mission is to detect these different sensibilities and preferences and make wines that attract and like each market. Achieving this can only be possible with direct communication between the commercial part and the oenological part of the Winery and with the support of innovative production, control and analysis tools”.

Q.: What do you think could be the reason for your company's success to remain competitive in the market?

R .: “At Bodegas Vitivinos we work every day to offer our clients our most careful wine elaborations so that it accompanies them in their best moments. To this continuous work we add the search for excellence in service and the best value for money”.

Q.: You belong to the Association of Importers and Exporters of Albacete, ADIEX. How do you see the work carried out by the association?

R .: "ADIEX's advisory and training work allows us to introduce our wines in countries with more confidence and security, counting within the Association with a group of professionals prepared to support and help in all aspects of internationalization".

Q.: What aspects do you think should be improved or strengthened from ADIEX?

R .: "Perhaps a possibility of conventions or agreements with other international associations could help us as associates to identify possible business opportunities and potential international clients to whom we can offer our products and services".
