Several companies belonging to our Association of Importers and Exporters of Albacete (ADIEX), integrated into the Confederation of Businessmen of Albacete (FEDA), have shown the quality of their wines in the recent edition of ProWein 2024, held from March 10 to 12 in the German city of Düsseldorf. Throughout the three days of the fair, Bodegas Winol, Foobespain and Cooperativa Agrícola La Remediadora have promoted their wines and established contacts with buyers, importers and visitors from all over the world.
Foobespain has had an active participation with its presence at ProWein, showing the numerous virtues of the wines of our region. Bodegas Winol has also showcased the quality of its wines at the German event, with special reference to its wine 'Leyenda de Fuego', winner of the Grand Gold medal at the Berliner Wein Trophy.
For its part, the La Remediadora Agricultural Cooperative has been present at ProWein alongside the La Mancha Designation of Origin. It was the first time that the Regulatory Council attended this event with its own winery stand. In addition to La Remediadora, other La Mancha wineries have been at this stand such as Bodegas Casa Antonete, Bogedas Centro Españolas, Bodegas Entremontes, Bodegas Isla, Bodegas Pedroheras, Viñalesa Wine Group and Winemills.

In addition to the ADIEX partners already mentioned, ProWein has had the presence of other companies belonging to the Association of Albacete Wine Entrepreneurs, integrated into the Confederation of Albacete Entrepreneurs (FEDA).
FEDA member companies such as Bodega Vega Tolosa, Bodegas Piqueras, Vinos Cándido, Bodegas Ayuso and Bodegas Celaya have been present in the different pavilions of this important fair held in Düsseldorf. All of them have exhibited the excellent wines we have in our province, exchanging experiences and experiences with the numerous ProWein visitors.
30º Anniversary
ProWein celebrated its 30th Anniversary this year with great numbers, despite a train strike in Germany causing problems for many visitors. According to official data from the Organization, ProWein welcomed nearly 47.000 registered professional visitors from 135 countries and 5.400 exhibitors from 65 countries.
“No other trade fair has such a wide range of offerings as ProWein. All international wine regions are represented in Düsseldorf,” commented director Peter Schmitz, referring to the success of ProWein. The extremely international character of the offer remains the absolute distinguishing feature of ProWein. Therefore, for international buyers in the food retail sector, specialized trade and the hotel, restaurant and catering sector, ProWein has been, also this year, unquestionably the central commercial event of the sector.
This edition of ProWein celebrated a new milestone: ProSpirits, the world of spirits brands. 420 exhibitors from 40 countries presented their products in an area of 4.800 m2.
The next ProWein 2025 will be held between March 16 and 18 in Düsseldorf. ProWein World: Your next “Ticket To The World” will be the first edition of ProWine in Tokyo, which will take place between April 10 and 12, 2024.
