The Association of Importers and Exporters of Albacete takes stock of its situation in the Annual General Assembly, laying the foundations of the work to be carried out in this 2023 ADIEX, with its participation in the IN-FEDA Program, continues to bet on technical and current issues for our companies, such as innovation and sustainability, but above all on the training of our professionals and talent management The Association of Importers and Exporters of Albacete (ADIEX), integrated into the Confederation of Employers of Albacete (FEDA), has held its Annual General Assembly, in which the associative growth of this last year has been highlighted. At ADIEX we continue to grow and we already have 51 associated companies (+6 in the previous year) from sectors as diverse as agri-food, health, paints, IT, packaging, wood, textiles, renewable energy, consulting, or furniture, among others.

Iván Torres, president of ADIEX, detailed the actions carried out last year. In 2022, We resumed our international activity at 100%, exploring new markets, coordinating the multi-sector trade mission to the Netherlands, in collaboration with IPEX in the month of November and taking advantage of the resources allocated for it from the Regional Institutions. 7 companies from the 5 provinces of the region participated in the mission, from different sectors, such as wine, agri-food, furniture and textiles; and in which we received very positive feedback from him of 4,57/5 as well as at the level of impact. As every year, we continue to disseminate and support our companies in 4 international cooperation events, both virtual and hybrid, as well as face-to-face, promoted by the Enterprise Europe Network throughout the year, in which more than 47 companies participated to expand their international contacts, such as the Online Fashion Match Amsterdam 2022, Sival 2022 and Horeca, Gastrofood, Enoexpo 2022. Looking to 2023, the president of ADIEX highlighted the continuity of a very complete communication plan on social networks, publishing information about our companies in both Spanish and English to reach the maximum number of countries and companies possible, and having as a project this year a renewal of the ADIEX image and website and to continue growing our reach on the LinkedIn professional network. Finally, we continue with the edition of our informative bulletin, of which we have already had 23 editions, which refers to our work together with FEDA, but also information about our associated companies, their visits to fairs, their achievements, their events, their investments in innovation and their international operations. The director of IPEX, Luis Noé Sánchez, has been present at the General Assembly, where the close relationship in international actions with FEDA has been highlighted, within the framework of the collaboration agreement with CECAM, with actions for this year such as the visit to the ANUGA Agri-food Fair in Cologne (Germany) and the Multisectoral Trade Mission to Colombia. Luis Noé has made available to ADIEX companies all the services, actions and advice at an international level that this institute has. Fifth edition of the IN-FEDA Program Before the General Assembly, the presentation of the fifth edition of the IN-FEDA Program, where ADIEX leads the Technical Department, hand in hand with the FEDA team, with Évelin R. Molano, head of the Department of Associations, Technical Areas and Projects of FEDA, and Laura García Martínez, technician of the International, Innovation, Digitalization and Investment Areas. Iván Torres pointed out that the Association of Importers and Exporters of Albacete, with programs such as IN-FEDA, continues to bet on technical and current issues for our companies, such as innovation and sustainability, but above all for the training of our professionals and talent management, so important for companies. "Each year with new themes, we try to listen to our associates through assessment surveys, seminars, forums, technical breakfasts and events in which we discover the main needs of the business fabric of the province", he indicated. The general secretary of FEDA, Vicente García, was in charge of detailing the novelties of the 5th edition of this program:

  • We address totally different themes and tools that are of great importance and topicality for companies in the region:
    • We will start the program with a pioneering breakfast on the metaverse, in which companies will be able to see in a practical and down-to-earth way how to apply this new reality for the growth and promotion of their companies.
    • We will also have the opportunity to learn about new tools to carry out one of the key processes today: digitization and post-sales management, so important in international operations.
    • Another of the topics that the program will cover and that is of great importance for all companies is the market for organic products, but not only for agri-food companies, since organic certificates or the eco-design of products are differentiating elements that they affect most sectors when it comes to opening new markets and reaching increasingly demanding customers.
  • The last breakfast will allow us to learn about the commercial opportunities that Colombia, a country with which Spain has had very close ties for years, can offer to the business fabric of our region. The speaker of this last breakfast will be the coordinator of the Enterprise Europe Network Colombia, organization that on April 13 and 14 will be officially presented as a new node of the Enterprise Europe Network, through the Impact Hub Medellin and in collaboration with the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, and with which FEDA will work in order to support companies in the region to establish new collaboration ties at a commercial and technological level.
  • These working breakfasts will have a technical presentation and active participation by attendees, since participation and interaction are key. At these breakfasts, various professionals, businessmen and freelancers will exchange questions and opinions on the subject.

During his speech, Vicente García pointed out that the FEDA International Area, as a node of the Enterprise Europe Network, has developed a pioneering tool, the FEDA 5+ Self-diagnosis, a service aimed at SMEs with the aim of improving their competitiveness. This self-diagnosis is an exercise to evaluate the capacities of the management of 5 key pillars: Innovation, digitization, internationalization, sustainability and investment; and its purpose is that the company itself can see where it is and what aspects it can improve in each of these five pillars, setting a global strategy, aligned with the development policy set by the European Commission. Together with Vicente García and Iván Torres, Luis Noé, director of IPEX, Samuel García Eslava, director of BBVA Business Banking in Albacete, Cristóbal Sánchez Martín, director of the Caixabank Business Center in Albacete, and María José Olmeda Buenafé, Head of International Business at Globalcaja.
