The Association of Importers and Exporters of Albacete, ADIEX, integrated into the Confederation of Businessmen of Albacete, FEDA, has held its General Electoral Assembly in which the new Board of Directors for the next four years has been ratified. In this way, Iván Torres, from the Perinox company, in Villarrobledo, renews his position as president; The vice presidency is in charge of Antonio Ángel Garrigós, from Plantaciones Econatur, from Balazote, as treasurer-secretary; continues José Ruiz, from Miguelitos Ruiz, from La Roda, and as members Leticia Requena, from Turrones San Andrés, from Tobarra, and Sara Cano from El Conchel Original Food, from El Ballestero.
This Association, created in 2005, continues to grow and this year it already has fifty-eight associated companies from across the province from very diverse sectors: agri-food, wine, paints, IT, packaging, wood, textile, machinery manufacturing, consulting, training and medical equipment and office supplies, among many other sectors.
With this new Board of Directors, the Association is committed to the new generations, who take the lead with the aim of continuing to promote the province as an export engine in the region.
New partners and social media campaigns
The companies of the Association have stood out in a very positive way in addition to the increase in the number of members in recent years, the renewal of image, the launch of the new ADIEX website, and the powerful communication campaign through RRSS carried out carried out last 2023, the purpose of which has been to continue increasing the presence of the Association on the network and disseminate the international actions of its associated companies.
This clear positive impact has been seen in numbers, as website visits have increased by 128% and their social networks continue to increase in followers. The Association's LinkedIn already has more than 1.700 followers, which represents a growth of 32,5% compared to the previous year. Through these channels, the work together with FEDA is disseminated, information from the companies integrated into ADIEX is transmitted, such as their visits to fairs, their achievements, their events, their investments in innovation and their international operations both in English and in Castilian.
Promotion and coordination of international actions
Like every year, companies have also valued the INFEDA 2023 program, and the contents of the program for 2024 have been presented, which is developed under the technical direction of ADIEX, and which strategically brings together key organizations for development. of the internationalization of our province: the Enterprise Europe Network, IPEX, CECAM, FEDA and financial entities collaborating in this intense program.
In 2023, the Association continued its international activity one hundred percent, exploring new markets and coordinating two international actions of great impact. The first of them, the visit to one of the most important agri-food fairs internationally, the ANUGA fair in Cologne, Germany. In this visit from October 7 to 11, coordinated by the International Area of FEDA, thanks to the IPEX-CECAM Agreement, 16 companies from the five provinces of the region participated and more than two hundred meetings were held; thus resulting in a very productive fair both for the participants in the visit and for the numerous companies in the region that attended with a stand.
FEDA coordinated the multisector trade mission to Colombia, also thanks to the IPEX-CECAM collaboration framework, last November and taking advantage of the resources allocated for this by regional institutions. 7 companies from the 5 provinces of the region participated in the mission, from different sectors, such as renewable energy, automotive, furniture, hospitality equipment and ICT; who held more than 55 international meetings. Very positive feedback was received from the companies: 5/5 as well as at the impact level, since several of them have already closed cooperation agreements with Colombian companies as a result of their participation in this action. In addition, ADIEX continues to disseminate and support its companies in nine international cooperation events, both virtual and hybrid, as well as in person, promoted by the Enterprise Europe Network throughout the year, and co-organized by FEDA, in which more than 35 companies They participated to expand their international contacts, and in which more than 70 international meetings were held.
