The Ministry of Economy, Commerce and Business has published this Monday, through the ICEX, the foreign sales figures corresponding to the month of December of last year and the whole of 2023. They show that exports from Castilla-La Mancha in The month of December was 749,2 million euros, which represents the second best record for a month of December in the region despite the decrease of 10,6 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, which is the record also for the month of December in the historical series.

This drop, which is common to all provinces in interannual terms, does not prevent Castilla-La Mancha from has signed the second best export record in history, with 9.827,35 million euros, also being the third consecutive year in which the region's foreign sales exceed 9.000 million euros.

By province, both Albacete and Cuenca close the year positively, with new historical records for foreign sales in both territories. In Albacete, exports last year amounted to 1.503,6 million euros, which is 3,5 percent more than in 2022; and in Cuenca the export figure in 2023 closed above 850,1 million euros, 0,8 percent more than the previous year. On the contrary, the three provinces with the highest export volumes closed with data that reflects decreases in interannual terms, although the three have added three consecutive years with records above 2.000 million euros: Ciudad Real, with 2.345,8 million euros , a figure that represents its third best export record; Guadalajara, with 2.359,7 million euros, also the third best record in the series; and Toledo, with 2.768 million euros, the second highest record in foreign sales for the province.

By items, beverages continue to be the flagship of regional exports, with 1.066 million euros and an increase of 9,1 percent compared to the previous year. Behind them, electrical appliances and material are consolidated as the most exporting items in the region, with 1.024 million euros and an increase of 5,3 percent compared to 2022; and machines and mechanical devices, with 914,5 million euros and an increase, also, of 10,8 percent compared to the previous year.
