Exports from Castilla-La Mancha set a new record in April

 

Foreign sales of Castilla-La Mancha exceed 3.104,7 million euros between January and April this year, 17,43 percent more than in the same period of the previous year, in a positive trajectory that occurs in the five provinces of the region.

The main export items of the region have positive behaviors in the first four months of the year, with capital goods leading the growth, with more than 32 percent; and industrial products as the largest export item, with more than 1.744 million euros.

Exports from Castilla-La Mancha registered a new record in April, exceeding 776,5 million euros exported in the fourth month of the year, and have raised foreign sales of Castilian-La Mancha companies above 3.000 million euros in the first quarter of the year for the first time in the historical series.

Specifically, exports from companies in the region have grown by 17,43 percent in the first four months of the year compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching 3.104,7 million euros and with positive behavior in the main export items, led by industrial products, and in the five provinces of the region.

The foreign sales of the region exceeded 776,5 million euros in the month of April, 11,35 percent more than in the same month of the previous year, despite the international instability that is affecting all markets. In addition, the foreign sales figure for the month of April of this year is a new export record for the region, which has experienced large increases in the provinces of Guadalajara, with 20,69 percent more than in April 2021 and 191,3, 20,36 million euros; in Toledo, where they grew by 200 percent to exceed 15 million euros; and in Albacete, which with a growth of 113,4 percent is close to 0,2 million euros exported. In Ciudad Real, exports in the month of April have registered a slight decline of 205 percent, exceeding 2,9 million euros; and in Cuenca the fall is moderate, with 65,3 percent, exceeding XNUMX million euros.

Despite this disparate behavior in year-on-year terms in the month of April, in the accumulated figures for the year the five provinces of the region have a positive behavior and in all of them the sum of exports between January and April set a new record in the historical series , with the highest volume in foreign sales in all of them.

This growth is very notable in the province of Guadalajara, with a rise of 39,5 percent, to exceed 838,8 million euros in the first four months of the year; in Toledo, exports between January and April grew by 14,9 percent, to 773,2 million euros; in Albacete they do so by 14,73 percent, up to 452 million euros; in Cuenca they grow between January and April by 7,8 percent and reach 261,3 million euros; and in Ciudad Real, the accumulated increase in the first four months of the year is 6,3 percent, registering 779,2 million euros. All these export figures are the highest volume in the respective provinces for a first four-month period of the year.

By sector, despite a moderate decline in the beverage item compared to the previous year, the agri-food and beverage sector as a whole grew by 4,39 percent, exceeding 979,2 million euros in the first four months of the year. anus. This is an increase that is much more notable in the other major export items in the region, where foreign sales increased by 32,5 percent in capital goods; and by 23 percent, practically, in industrial and technology products, which reach up to 1.744 million euros. Within this sector, the most significant behaviors occur in semi-invoices, with a growth of almost 50 percent; and in chemical products, whose industry has increased foreign sales by more than 40 percent in the first four months of the year.
