In ABR, we innovate “according to the responses of our market”

Alba-Rulo, S.L. (ABR) has been developing since 1975 to become the most dynamic, efficient and updated supplier in the market where they work: painter tools. With this evolution they have more than 2,500 active clients, 3,000,000 of produced units and more than 1,500 references in its catalogue. Situated in the village of Chinchilla de Montearagón, ABR is in many countries.

Yolanda Ramiro, the person in charge of marketing, explains the work that her company does in these years.

QUESTION: For people who don’t know you. What is ABR and what does it do?
ANSWER: We are a family company in the third generation. In ABR we make and distribute products with  high quality for do-it-yourself projects, crafts, painting and decoration. It means that we have a wide range of tools for the painter: rollers and spare parts, paintbrushes and all types of accessories.

Q.: What countries is ABR in?
A.: “We have our Exportation Department. In Europe, we are in Portugal, Italy  and France. But our presence goes beyond, Morocco, Algeria, Senegal, Libya, Irak and Tunisia”.

Q.: In your sector, improving constantly and innovating are important. Have you recently invested?
A.: “Yes, of course. We are focusing on renewing our brand image. At the same time that our company evolves, our image does the same. In this way ABR is born, being before ‘Alba-Rulo’. It’s a sign of the future of a company project which is more that40 years old with dedication to our clients. Furthermore, we are renewing our website and it will work soon”.

Q.: Why do you think your company is successful in being competitive in the market?
A.: “The reason of the success of ABR can be the innovtion according to the responses of the market, by keeping the same organization and structure that the company used to have, but adding more products to keep a full satisfaction of our clients”.

Q.: You are member of Albacete Association of Importers and Exporters ADIEX. How do you see the work done from the association?
A.: “We have been in ADIEX for a short period of time and we think that the work that the associations are doing is good, trying to give visibility to the companies from Albacete that export or import”.

Q.: ADIEX is organising activities, like breakfasts with the exporters or the Third Cicle of Seminars about Innovation and Internationalization. What do you think about these activities? Does anyone of your company participe in them?
A.: “It is always good to organise this type of activities where we can share information or experiences with other exporters. It is a good idea and we have already attended some of them”.

Q.: What aspects do you think should improve from ADIEX?
A.: “We want these activities to continue because they are a good initiative. Everything that is to work for a larger relevance in our province is welcome”.
