Adiex companies analyze the US and Mexican markets in a Multisectoral Networking Breakfast

Thanks to the collaboration of BBVA, the format allows agility in the exhibition and from the point of view of an ADIEX businessman.

Carlos Díez, CEO of Foobespain SLU, a company that is an active part of the Association of Importers and Exporters, ADIEX, has been in charge of leading this second experience in which twelve companies, members of FEDA y ADIEX, from sectors ranging from signage, specialized machinery, consulting, renewable energy, irrigation systems, paint and tools and, of course, agri-food.

Foobespain SLU It bases its activity on the outsourcing service of export departments, mainly in the wine and food sector, it carries out the entire commercial cycle in foreign markets: Offer analysis of its producer clients in Spain, international commercial prospecting, client follow-up, foreign promotion, international marketing, logistics management and consolidation in these markets.

They are also in charge of the administrative and commercial management of the OCM aid directed to the wine sector. At this moment they have customers in more than 30 countries, having been number one in sales of Spanish wine in value in some of the most competitive and difficult markets such as Russia.

What ADIEX was looking for with this initiative, and thanks to the collaboration of BBVA, was to break the conference and/or technical seminar format and mainly share information in an open forum. As indicated by the surveys, the objective has been met: the score of this event of exporters for exporters has been 8,83/10.

The meeting has been developed from the main objective: "Who better than a businessman from your Association who has been and works in these markets to share the reality of different countries with you"

Mexico and the United States are powerful, interesting and very complex markets

  • In Mexico it is essential to find the right people to move the product and look for the right importers.
  • Mexico is affected by anything that happens in the United States.
  • E-commerce and new technologies are essential when considering the final customer in these two markets.
  • Psychologically for Americans, closeness is important, it is essential that there is someone from the company in the country, a subsidiary or a representative office.
  • The United States and Mexico currently have more than a trade problem, a political situation that is becoming another non-tariff barrier that did not exist until 10 years ago.
  • Regarding means of payment, in the United States and Mexico, documentary credit is very complicated at a commercial level, and in terms of INCOTERM between FOB and CIF, the latter is preferable since you have greater control over documentation and transport.

The businessmen participating in this breakfast appreciate this type of short and agile relaxed forum, since they share their experiences, and at the end comments are extended to other markets of interest, for example Russia, China or Algeria.

Once again, FEDA starts with different formats that give great added value to the business fabric of the province. In the last quarter of the year the third and last breakfast will take place, of which there are several options in terms of markets and speakers.
