The Confederation of Employers of Albacete, FEDA, as node of the Enterprise Europe Network, and thanks to the collaboration agreement established between the Foreign Promotion Institute, IPEX and Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Castilla-La Mancha (CECAM), together with its business organizations, Ciudad Real Business Federation, FEED; Confederation of Businessmen of Cuenca, CEOE-CEPYME-CUENCA; Provincial Confederation of Businessmen of Guadalajara, CEOE-CEPYME-GUADALAJARA and Toledo Business Federation FEDETO-CEOE-CEPYME-TOLEDO, has coordinated a multi-sector direct trade mission to Colombia, which took place from November 26 to December 2, 2023 in Bogotá.
Seven companies from the five provinces of Castilla-La Mancha from very diverse sectors have participated in this mission: renewable energies, automotive accessories, hospitality equipment, furniture and information technologies.
IPEX, CECAM, FEDA and its partner of the Enterprise Europe Network Colombia, have developed important work both at the level of prior analysis and technical sessions on market information, travel organization, call and support for companies at the destination in full coordination with the Economic and Commercial Office of Spain in Bogotá, who has been in charge of preparing the personalized commercial agendas of each company.
In this action, more than 50 international meetings have been held thanks to the agendas prepared by the Economic and Commercial Office of Spain in Bogotá, and, as an added value, on Thursday, November 30, the B2B event organized by FEDA together with the Enterprise Europe Network Colombia. This complementary action to the commercial agenda developed by the Commercial Office added a total of 19 international meetings with Colombian companies and institutions, key when developing business in the country such as chambers of commerce, start-ups, etc., among others.
The Colombian market is expanding and presents great opportunities for the hospitality, digitalization and renewable energy sectors, sectors in which our companies in the region are leaders at a national and international level.
The companies have returned very satisfied with the meetings held and value their participation in this action very positively in the final evaluation of the mission. In the coming weeks, the organizations will carry out a contact monitoring process to be able to see the progress in the negotiations and clearly measure the impact and effectiveness of the mission, in order to analyze and assess possible points of improvement. in this type of actions, and to continue optimizing resources and continue promoting foreign trade between companies in Castilla-La Mancha, beyond the European market.
