FEDA is already coordinating in Bogotá the multi-sector trade mission that is being held in Colombia this week with companies from Albacete

Together with other companies from Castilla-La Mancha, with meetings through the commercial office in the Colombian country and b2b meetings thanks to the Enterprise Europe Network

From yesterday, Monday until next Saturday, December 2, the multi-sector direct trade mission to Colombia will be held in Bogotá, coordinated by FEDA, thanks to the agreement IPEX-CECAM, in which companies from Albacete and Castilla-La Mancha participate (Solar World Stain, Nexo One, Auto Comercial Monedero, Hostel Jiménez Élez, Industrias Tagar, ID Energy Group and Generaciones Fotovoltaicas de la Mancha). These companies from Castilla-La Mancha will hold more than 30 meetings with Colombian companies thanks to the commercial agenda prepared by the Spanish commercial office in Bogotá and, as an added value, they will participate on Thursday, November 30 in the b2b, organized by FEDA as a node of the Enterprise Europe Network SPAIN, and the Enterprise Europe Network Colombia, in which participating companies will hold more than 20 meetings with companies from throughout the Colombian country.

This is the first time that CECAM, in this case with the technical support of FEDA, through its International Area, carries out a commercial mission to this destination, characterized by having a large potential market, since it is the third largest population in Latin America and, in addition, it is the fourth economy in Latin America, only behind Brazil, Mexico and Argentina.

Furthermore, the Colombian economy has experienced a significant boom thanks to good macroeconomic management, tax incentives and a significant influx of foreign capital. Among the interesting sectors for Spanish export companies, we can mention the export of engineering services and everything related to sectors related to infrastructure, capital goods and technology for the local industry, as well as services focused on electronic commerce, cybersecurity and telemedicine.

In 2021, Colombia was positioned as the third largest Information Technology market in Latin America and between 2010 and 2020 the country doubled its sales in software and IT, which demonstrates the importance of this sector.

This multi-sector trade mission to Colombia comes after the success obtained in the visit to the Anuga Fair in Cologne (Germany), held last October, in which 16 companies from the region's agri-food sector participated, who were able to learn about the main news in this sector, since the Anuga Fair, together with Sial Paris, is the fair with the greatest international relevance for the agri-food sector and is aimed at an exclusively professional audience.

These activities, which also include an extensive training program with free days on internationalization in the five provinces, are part of the agreement signed by CECAM with the IPEX, forming part of the action plan that the Department of Foreign Trade of the Confederation, In collaboration with the five provincial business organizations, it has prepared for this exercise in order to promote both companies in the region and their products and services in foreign markets.
