FEDA receives the best 'resilience' practice award from the Enterprise Europe Network in Spain

In the XVI Annual Conference of the Spanish consortia of the European network that has been held in Oviedo.

This award represents an important visibility of the work and commitment of the Confederation of Employers in a high-level European project.

The team of the FEDA International Area has actively participated in the XVI Annual Conference of the Spanish consortiums of the Enterprise Europe Network Spain. In this meeting held in Oviedo, the challenges of the Enterprise Europe Network, within the framework of the Spanish presidency of the EU, being increasingly close to SMEs, and with issues such as ecological transition, digitization and resilience at the center of the strategy. The good results of the Spanish network have also been assessed, and areas for improvement and new challenges have been set within the framework of sustainability and digitization services, among other services carried out by the Network.

EEN Best Practices Awards

To conclude the annual meeting, the national good practices contest took place in which different organizations presented their projects in four categories: resilience, sustainability, communication and digitization.

In an 'Elevator Pitch' of less than 3 minutes, the head of the FEDA Department of Associations, Technical Areas and Projects, Évelin R. Molano, clearly presented the project developed by the organization in the midst of the 2022 post-pandemic period on the 'Business contingency tips for the current reality. Fear and/or Preparation?', a program replicated in the different FEDA delegations and which closed in Albacete with the V FEDA Investment Support Forum, in February 2023, where 85 companies from very diverse sectors participated and up to 30 “one to one” assessments were carried out, giving practical tools to SMEs and the self-employed in a period of high uncertainty.

Finally, by a significant majority of votes, the Spanish partners declared FEDA the winner and with it their ACTIS Consortium. This award represents an important visibility of the work and commitment of the Confederation of Employers in a high-level European project.

The award was presented by the Government Councilor for Economy, Digital Transformation and Social Policies of the Oviedo City Council, the host city of the XVI Annual Conference of Spanish Members of the EEN this year, where they were also present Natalia Martinez Paramo, Head of Unit SMP/ SME Pillar European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA), and Idaira Robayna Alfonso, Project Officer Enterprise Europe Network for Spain.

ACTIS and EEN consortium

La Enterprise Europe Network It is an initiative of the European Commission which has more than 600 organizations in the countries of the European Community and in third countries such as Chile, Colombia, and the US, among others. In Spain, 59 organizations grouped into 9 consortia offer network services and support companies. These services include helping companies and researchers to find the right international partners to grow and expand abroad, support for SMEs throughout the process of internationalization and access to the Single Market, specialized advice on access to European funding, support for business innovation through information on policies, legislation and support programs related to innovation and audits for strategic advice, as well as two key points in current European policies: Support for business competitiveness through through sustainability and digitization.  Likewise, these organizations provide all the necessary information and support to companies that wish to participate in both regional and international EEN events.

FEDA has been part of this project since 2008 and of the ACTIS Consortium, together with the Office for the Transfer of Research Results (OTRI) of the University of Castilla-La Mancha, Toledo Chamber of Commerce, Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Aragon- CEOE Aragón, Technological Institute of Aragon – ITAINNOVA, Scientific and Technological Park of Extremadura FUNDECYT-PCTEX, la Economic Development Agency of La Rioja- ADER, Federation of Companies of La Rioja (FER), Navarre Industry Association - AIN and University of Navarra.
